The listening library
Recordings for the end of the day, made to be played in the dark. Four narrators and one library, with nothing to download.
The members' library is a set of recordings for bedtime. Some are guided breathing, where every pause is cut to the count itself. Some are wind down sessions, where the voice keeps the rhythm while your attention settles. The rest are spoken readings of the written guides on this site, so you can be told the advice instead of reading it at midnight.
Everything streams from our server. Nothing is downloaded and nothing is kept on your device, so there is nothing to lose if you change phones.
Four voices
Every recording is read by all four of these voices. Pick the one you like and the whole members area follows it, including anything you are part way through, and your choice is remembered. All four are paced to the same speed, so changing voice does not change how long a recording takes.

Irish
Emily
Soft and unhurried, with the count kept even. Emily never rushes the gap after a number, so the pauses land where the breathing wants them rather than where a clock does.
Australian
Natasha
Steady and clear, easy to follow in the middle of the night. If you have ever woken at three and found a voice too brisk to stay with, she is the one to try.
British
Libby
Warm and matter of fact, good company for the longer guides. She reads the practical side of sleep in the tone of somebody telling you something useful, which is easier to take at midnight than being read to.
Scottish
Sonia
Low and even, and easy to stay with. There is a depth to her that suits a dark room, and she reads slowly enough that you can follow the breath without counting it yourself. What you get
- The whole library, grouped by the situation you are in: going to sleep, breathing, winding down, waking in the night, and the readings of the guides.
- All four narrators on every recording, so you can change voice without losing your place or starting again.
- A sound mixer with eight sounds: brown and pink noise, rain, a stream, the sea, wind, fire and thunder, each with its own volume and a sleep timer that fades rather than cuts.
- A search box for the whole members area, for a word, a length or a feeling.
- Sign in with a link sent to your email address. No password to invent and nothing to remember.
- Two devices at a time, so you can listen on your phone in bed and keep your tablet by the sofa.
What it costs
£3.99 a month, or £29.99 a year. The yearly works out cheaper than nine months of the monthly.
Payment is handled by Payhip. They take the payment, look after the tax that applies where you live, and email your receipt, so we never hold your card details at all. You can stop the renewal at any time and nothing more is taken. Your access runs to the end of the period you have already paid for.
Read the membership terms before you join, or any time you want to check something.
Already a member?
Sign in here and we will email you a link. It works once and expires after fifteen minutes, which is why there is no password anywhere in the members area.
Worth saying plainly
The written guides on this site stay free whether you join or not. The membership pays for the recordings, the voices and the mixing, and it is what lets us keep the guides open to everyone.
Breathing slower than usual is safe for most people. If a pattern feels like hard work on the day, stop and breathe normally and come back to it another time. Nothing here is medical advice, and it is not a substitute for seeing a doctor about a sleep problem.
